Who's behind Foundpath

I'm Ryan Winzenburg. I built Foundpath, and I run it from Wheat Ridge, Colorado, just west of Denver.

I have two daughters in college, standing at the start of their working lives and trying to figure out what they want it to be about. I also have friends twenty years in, good at what they do, who quietly admit the work stopped meaning much a while ago.

Then a close friend retired. He had spent a career knowing what each day was for, and suddenly didn't. What he asked me for was simple: help figuring out what a meaningful life looks like outside of work.

All of them are asking the same question from different points: what would make this next part feel like mine? When people talk about the parts of their lives they love, it's almost always the moments when they were useful to someone else. That spark is real, and most people can't name it on their own.

There's no shortage of frameworks for this, and plenty of them are good. But they're long, or scattered, or built for a workshop. I wanted to pull the best of what they get right into something a person can do on their own time, in their own words, and come away with options instead of a label. That's why Foundpath has a version for retirement, not just careers.

If you're a coach, it's something your client can do at any point in your work together, and the brief comes back to you.
