Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Foundpath at https://foundpath.app, operated by Ryan Winzenburg ("Foundpath," "we," or "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Foundpath.

What Foundpath is

Foundpath is a self-discovery interview application. A voice AI coach guides you through structured questions; your answers are synthesized into a personal Career Discovery Report. Foundpath is a reflective tool for career clarity and life-direction thinking, not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional advice.

Purchase and access

Access to the full interview and synthesis report requires a one-time purchase of $79 for Foundpath Full Journey. This is not a subscription. You are charged once. Pricing shown at checkout is final unless a promotion code is applied through Stripe.

Payment is processed by Stripe. Your purchase grants access to one interview session and one synthesis report tied to your account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Foundpath for any unlawful purpose or to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to access another user's account, interview data, or reports without authorization
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service or its APIs
• Share interview content in a way that violates someone else's privacy or rights
• Misrepresent AI-generated reflections or reports as professional clinical assessments

Not therapy, medical, or crisis support

Foundpath does not provide therapy, counseling, medical advice, or mental health treatment. The AI coach and synthesis report are generated by software. They may reference themes like burnout, career transition, or life after work, but they are not a substitute for licensed professionals.

Do not use Foundpath if you are in an acute mental health crisis, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or need immediate help. Contact emergency services or a crisis line in your country (in the U.S., call or text 988). Foundpath is not equipped to respond to emergencies and accepts no duty of care in crisis situations.

The optional "next chapter after your career" interview track is for reflective planning in retirement or semi-retirement, not for crisis intervention, grief counseling, or end-of-life care. If you are in distress related to aging, loss, or major life change, please seek qualified human support.

AI-generated content

Reflections during the interview and your final report are produced by AI models. They are based solely on what you type or say. Outputs may be incomplete, imprecise, or not fit your circumstances. You are responsible for how you interpret and act on them. Foundpath makes no guarantee of career outcomes, job placement, or personal results.

Sharing your report

You may generate a shareable link to your report. Anyone with that link can view the full report without logging in. You are responsible for who you share it with. Do not share if you are not comfortable with the recipient reading your personal reflections.

Refunds

If Foundpath is not what you expected, email hello@foundpath.app within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are generally available if you have not substantially completed the interview (e.g., fewer than half of the questions answered). We review other situations case by case. Refunds are processed through Stripe back to your original payment method. See Support for how to reach us.

Account and termination

You may stop using Foundpath at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. Upon termination, your right to use Foundpath ends; provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive.

Disclaimers

FOUNDPATH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SITUATION.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOUNDpath AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO FOUNDpath WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $79, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your data. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware, except where prohibited by consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
